Alpkit Double Dozer Sleeping Mat
We're big fans of Alpkit sleeping mats — great quality, reasonably priced, and they've never failed us. So we were excited to hear that Alpkit extended their range with the Double Dozer, a double-bed-sized version of their popular Dozer mat.
The Double Dozer is almost the size of a standard double bed — 196cm by 129cm, just 10cm slimmer than a standard double mattress, with a 7.5cm thickness to ensure there's air space between you and the ground.
As you'd expect from a double-mattress-sized sleeping mat, the luxury of a comfy mat comes with a larger pack size. We wouldn't be hiking with one of these, but if you take the car to your basecamp it's actually smaller packed up than you'd expect — the Double Dozer packs down to 115cm in length with a 121cm circumference, and weighs in at 4kg.

For unadulterated comfort, the Dozer is designed for people who want to share the comfort around — but it's also ideal for those who don't want to share and just want to starfish. The foam is cored laterally to reduce weight and die-cut in less load-bearing areas to reduce pack size, with a soft-touch polyester cover.
