Trangia Stoves
As campers we're used to seeing stove manufacturers try to outdo each other every year — stoves get smaller, more powerful, gain multifuel options, or are designed completely differently, like the Jetboil range. However, there is one company which seemingly never changes and holds a special place in many campers' hearts. You've guessed it: the Trangia stove. Any conversation about new stoves with friends always seems to come back to the Trangia.
A brief history of the Trangia
Trangia was founded in 1925 by John E. Jonsson, together with his father-in-law, starting the company that has dominated the Swedish storm-proof stove industry for more than half a century. The company and the ingenuity have since been passed down to new generations of the family. The basic original design of the Trangia is still at the company's heart today — it has just been developed and refined over the decades since.
Today, Trangias are available either with the traditional spirit burner or a gas burner. Their simplistic system is storm proof, and there is also an ultralight aluminium range which is 21% lighter than the matching original range.

The Trangia 25k, one of the more popular sets at the time, came complete with:
