Helly Hansen Merino Base layer

An essential part of your outdoor kit is a base layer.  A baselayer isn’t just about warmth, it is about the regulation of moisture.  When you sweat moisture forms against your skin so in cold weather this will make you feel even colder.  So a base layer’s main purpose is to wick moisture away from the skin keeping the skin dry and keeping you warmer.

Helly Hansen are synonymous with base layers, so much so that I often refer to a base layer as a Helly!  The Helly Hansen Merino Baselayer is 57% Merino wool, 43% Polypropylene.  This combines the thermal warmth effects of Merino Wool on the outside with the wicking properties of Polyproplene on the inside to ensure you stay warm, dry and comfortable!
